Child Leashes and The Effects On The Child
Child Leashes are the new way of handling your children in public. While you don't see one every time you go outside they are becoming more and more common in public settings such as parks, grocery stores etc. While some parents swear by them saying they make caring for your kids easier and that your kids are never more than a few yards away no one is really asking what effect this has on the child. I feel that it is embarrassing for the child as they are not as unintelligent as parents make them out to be. Kids now they are on a leash and when they see other children not on a leash they will start to form questions in their minds as to why this is happening. I also feel that there may be long term effects on the child's psyche, they may cling to their parents longer than the average child may due to the fact that they were dragged around on a leash for the first couple years of their life. I believe that there should be future studies to determine the psychological effects that this practice has on the children in the long term.
